Scanning small items like credit cards, membership passes, or ID cards is completely automated:

  • Standard Canvas Lock: The scanner locks the scan to a standard A4 canvas size, so formatting remains uniform.

  • AccsiSuite Standalone Book (.asbbk): Export any catalog book directly to a standalone .asbbk file (Ctrl + Shift + S from result viewer/library).
  • Self-Contained Database Structure: Unlike flat text or PDF files, .asbbk stores all pages, tables, images, metadata, and structural chapters as an independent SQLite database.
  • Persistent Bookmark & Position Portability: When you share or move an .asbbk book to another device, it preserves all your custom bookmarks and your exact last-read page number and scroll position.
  • Flexible Execution Modes based on File Location:
    • Read-Only Mode: If the .asbbk book is stored in a secured/restricted folder (e.g., C:\Program Files, CD/DVD drives, or write-protected network shares), the application opens it in Read-Only Mode and prompts the user with the option to import it to their local library.
    • Full Mode: If the .asbbk book is in a normal, writable directory (e.g., Desktop, Downloads, Documents, or USB flash drives), it operates with Full write access, allowing the application to save new bookmarks and update reading position progress directly back into the .asbbk file itself.
